What are the Five Animal Welfare Domains?

Comfort refers to Temperature, substrate, space, air, scent, noise, and predictability.

Health refers to the absence of disease, injury, or impairment combined with a high level of fitness.

Behavior refers to sensory inputs, exploration, foraging, bonding, playing, retreating, and other elements create varied, interesting, and fascinating environmental challenges.

Mental State by presenting positive scenarios in the preceding four functional domains, the animal's mental state should gain from mostly positive states like pleasure, comfort, or vitality while decreasing negative states like fear, frustration, hunger, pain, or boredom.
