Talent Show

On March 19th the 9th Annual Talent Show was premiered to the OIS Community, and what a fun show it was! Even in lockdown, students could showcase their talents, not only the students but, this year, teachers also joined this adventure with a fun twist. Similar to last year’s Talent Show this event was shared online. However this year the students organizing the show took it to the next level, by adding two hosts (Denzel Cardoso and Mariana Soares) and three judges (Ines Correia, Nicole Ahern and João Rias); sharing jokes, ideas, and their thoughts on each performance.

The Talent Show winner was none other than year 11 student Tessa Cuvillier with her fantastic dance performance by the song “How you like that”. Second place went to year 10 student Ruth Lewis with a beautiful acapella song cover. Finally, third place went to year 9 student Heinrich Vreken showcasing his passion for bike riding. Furthermore, the winner for our second competition involving the teachers, was Miss Pratt singing “Ahead by Century”, not only that but congratulations to Mr. Van Rillaer for being able to guess all eight teachers.

We cannot wait for next year’s Talent Show and who knows we might be able to have it at school just like we used to!
