Monthly Album: December

As November comes to an end, December is here with its open hands. For this month, would like to introduce you to the monthly album.

This month, I would like to introduce you to the band, “Certificate of Death” or simply “Death Certificate”. This band has been originated in Astrakhan, Russia in 1994. They have been active until 2002 and have witnessed 13 band member changes. The band released 7 albums with a similar “raw” tone until their break-up in 2002. The band has been keeping its main theme in lyrics – melancholy and sadness in its own way.

The album that I would like to introduce to you today is named “Privet” which in translation is “hello”. It has been released in 2001, just a year before the band broke up. Even though the name is simple, the songs are more than amazing. The “raw” guitar, simple yet amazing drums and both catchy vocals and bass make it a perfect post-punk album.

If you like post-punk, I totally recommend you this album. If you do not like post-punk, then I still would like to recommend you this album as personally, it is an amazing music piece that has gotten into many hearts already.
