On the 16th of October, Minecraft live was held online on the YouTube platform. This live stream included exciting news such as the wild update for Minecraft, voting for the new mob to come into the game and the echoing void DLC for Minecraft Dungeons.
First, the mob vote. It was voting live on Twitter during the Minecraft live stream out of 3 mobs. The 3 mobs for this year were the allay, the copper golem and the glare. The allay is a blue vex-like mob that dances with note blocks and collects items that are given. The copper golem is a mob that can be crafted using copper and plays with Redstone components automatically but oxidizes over time. The glare is a mob that finds areas that mobs can spawn which is when the light level is below 7. During the Minecraft live stream, in the first vote round, allay had 51% of votes while copper golem had 37.8% and glare having 11.2%. In the second round of votes, allay won by 54.3% of votes which was close to the copper golem with a 45.7%. This means that allay will be the new coming mob to Minecraft for 2021. We love to see that an actual dupe machine will be added to the game.
Second, the wild update. The Minecraft version 1.19 will be launching in 2022 and it is all about the wild! Some of the highlight features are Frog mob, Tadpole mob, Warden mob, Mud block, Mud Brick block, Boats with chests, Mangrove trees, Mangrove Wood block, Mangrove wood decor variants, Mangrove Swamp biome. Skulk Sensor block and Skulk Catalyst. Furthermore, the swamp biome will also get a new look!
At last, there is a new DLC incoming for Minecraft Dungeons which is called the Echoing Void DLC. It is an add-on to the game and takes place in the End dimension. It includes a lot of features such as new locations, new heroes, new artifacts, new armor and more!
