Multimodal AI: New AI models can now process various types of data—such as text, images, and audio—simultaneously. This capability allows for better interaction and functionality. 

Generative AI Utilization: Businesses are increasingly utilising generative AI to boost efficiency in areas like marketing and customer service. 

AI in Software Development: The use of AI tools in software development has been rising recently, making skills in creating effective prompts that enable AI models to generate responses based on given inputs, increasingly important for developers. 

AI in Healthcare: AI is used in healthcare in various factors such as: diagnosing diseases to identifying the best treatment for patients with critical illnesses, provides real-time data for surgeons during operations, and being able to go through large volumes of data to identify patterns, anomalies, or trends.   

Ethical considerations 

The following are Ethical considerations of AI: 

Bias and Discrimination: AI systems can project biases as they learn from large databases that could be manipulated. Example: If a company uses an AI system to select job applicants based on resumes, it may take in biases from historical hiring data, which can lead to discrimination against candidates. 

Creativity and Ownership: Ownership rights of AI-generated art are unclear. Example:When a human paints, they own the drawing but when an AI generates an image based on a prompt, who owns it the programmer or the one who entered the prompt ? 

Social Manipulation and Misinformation: AI can spread misinformation and manipulate public opinion due to it being able to be manipulated. Deepfakes are the best example of this being able to generate realistic but fake information that can be used to feed the AI misinformation. 

Privacy, Security, and Surveillance: AI's reliance on personal data raises significant privacy concerns. It is unclear on where the information that you give to AI is collected, stored, and utilized, this means that preserving an individuals' privacy and human rights becomes the most important thing, this means that databases need strong safeguards against data breaches, unauthorized access to information, and protections from surveillance.   

Job Displacement: AI automation threatens jobs that could be easily replaced but can also create the need for new jobs. AI will easily take over jobs such as data analysis or customer service, due to this companies might need fewer employees for these roles. However, new jobs could emerge in areas such as AI maintenance, development, and oversight. 

Impact and Future of AI 

AI is changing our world, it is improving efficiency and creativity in various industries. However, it also raises important ethical issues, such as bias, misinformation, privacy, and job loss. 

As we move into the future, it's crucial to establish guidelines that ensure that AI serves everyone positively and doesn't have a major negative impact. If used correctly AI could have several benefits, or if used incorrectly, it could several down sides
