Kill Bill, the Saga

The Kill Bill saga is a series created by mythical movie director Quentin Tarantino. The first movie cam out in 20028 and has since then been regarded as one of his best movies. The story follows an assassin only known as “The Bride”. We follow her as she seeks revenge on the team of assassins that betrayed her and killed her. Only they did not actually kill her. The movie is a must watch due to its incredible fight scenes and it very elaborate and complex structure that keeps the viewer watching as he wants to know more.

In this article I will talking about why the movie is so unique and why it still captivates viewers to this day.

The first choice that he made is separating the movie in two parts. This helps him create a more immersive universe in which the viewer can really put himself in and wrap his around. The first movie is classic approach to a revenge story where we follow in the footsteps “The Bride”, played by Uma Thurman. The only aspect of the first movie that makes it unique is the chronological order. We first start by seeing here attack one of the assassins and then we start to understand who she is. What made us, the viewers understand the story was the intelligent dialogue that is not only very natural and very fitting to each character, but lso the little information that is given by the dialogue. It is almost as if we were a part of the scene watching two people fight and we had to understand the situation by listening to them.

For the second movie, Kill Bill volume 2. We still have a very classical approach to a revenge story but what makes it different is the tone in which the story is being told. We see a much more mature adult carrying out a revenge making sure to leave no one behind. We see her evolve into this intelligent revenge seeking beast. In the second part, we discover much more about the past of “the Bride” and we understand why she is taking revenge. This allows us to get behind the character and truly empathize with her.

I could not talk about the Kill Bill saga without talking about it’s very intense fighting scenes. The fights seem very over the top, which makes this movie feel like a superhero movie in the sense where the fighters are jumping above each other. This is for mw the only reason why this movie still has this novelty factor. This makes the viewer embrace the extreme violence that is always present in Tarantino movies and replaces it with whimsical, almost comedic action scenes.

In conclusion the Kill Bill saga is a masterpiece created by Quentin Tarantino and it truly displays the talent that he has. It is also a very interesting movie to watch as it is never boring or redundant and it will keep you attention all the way. These two movies are for me, the two best action movies I have ever watched. I would recommend it for anyone but I do not think that it is a family movie nor is it a kids movies due to the extreme violence of the scenes.
