February’s Best Metal Album

As January passes, the new best album of the month is elected. This month is different though. Instead of having a regular black metal album, the album that is elected is one of the most iconic in the grindcore genre.

“Harmony Corruption” by the band Napalm Death was released on July 1st, 1990. Although this album is categorised as “Grindcore”, the style of it was more Death Metal. Recorded in Morrisound Recording in Tampa, Florida, in such an iconic place, this album features guest vocals for the song “Unfit Earth” with Glen Benton from Deicide and John Tardy from Obituary. However, it is the first time for Napalm Death to include Mark Greenway as the vocalist, eventually changing their line-up. This album features “extremely” heavy (and also catchy) riffs and “deep low vocals”.

This album has had an impact on the whole grindcore scene more than any other Napalm Death album. I recommend this album for everyone, especially metal lovers.
