Five year old boy drowns in villa pool

A five year old boy arrived at the villa that his family would be staying in. The young boy wanted to go into the pool that was included. His parents gave him a life jacket, and he went in for a dip. Of course, how little children are, he took it off. There was no lifeguard on duty, so nobody realized when the little boy started to have trouble breathing, and eventually suffered a horrible death.

Four year old Dàvi drowns in their family pool

A Belgium family was having a normal and relaxed day, when they went to look for their son Dàvi. He was not in his room, and the parents frantically started searching. They had gotten a promotion recently and got pool. They had been considering securing their pool with a tarpaulin, but as they were going to move soon anyway, decided against it. They looked out and saw their son floating in the pool, his head in the water. The father states “I tried to revive him, but I am no doctor. I ended up speeding to the hospital, but by then it was already too late.”

How can we prevent this?

Every year about 320,000 people die worldwide, due to drowning in pools. You can use pool safety fences, pool safety nets, or pool safety covers. Also, make sure that there is always someone watching if there is someone in the water that can not swim. To ensure the safety of your child or of you, make sure that you have life vests, swim floats, or anything else that a child can hold onto if something does happen. These are some of the most simple steps to prevent drowning.
