Brunch places are quite common around Lisbon. However, which ones are worth trying?

Brunch is an excellent mixture between common breakfast foods and lunch dishes. All around the city of Lisbon are located various amazing brunch locations where you can buy tasteful avocado toasts with scrambled eggs or delicious whole-wheat pancakes with honey and fruits. During the past few years, I have noticed that many fascinating brunch spots have opened around the city. Thereby, I believed it would be interesting to investigate these newer locations in Lisbon with a wider variety of vegan goods with gluten-free and healthy options. - Clementine Moreno, Y10.1
Fauna and Flora
Fauna & Flora is a popular brunch spot located around the Madragoa neighborhood in Lisbon. The restaurant serves great brunch options such as the açai bowl, green matcha pancakes with lemon curd, savory pancakes with bacon to the veggie toast and fried egg and maple syrup. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place which was quite welcoming, with rustic furniture and multiple species of plants. However, it can be quite crowded so I would recommend getting there early before crowds, especially during the weekend. Their options are mainly healthy, with fresh and organic ingredients put together beautifully with color. Location: Rua da Esperança 33, 1200-655 Lisboa
Mila
Mila is another fantastic brunch spot in the city. Mila serves delicious freshly cooked breakfast and brunch all day, alongside with coffee from local roastery. From avocado toasts to salmon and poached eggs, vegan or gluten free, the restaurant has something adequate for everyone. I would recommend this spot for a nice brunch in Lisbon around the Madragoa neighborhood. Compared to other popular locations such as Fauna & Flora, the restaurant is usually less crowded and quite comfortable with fascinating architecture and interior design.
Location: R. Santos-O-Velho 38,1200-812, Lisboa
Dear Breakfast
Dear Breakfast is quite popular among Portuguese locals and tourists due to its large variety of brunch dishes. The restaurant is a great option for breakfast as it its menu includes fresh juices, avocado toast with egg and beetroot hummus, and delicious smoothies with an explosion of different flavors such as avocado, açai, kiwi, spinach, and peanut butter. The brunch spot is well known for its minimalistic-style décor and cozy ambiance. I really enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant where you can generally enjoy a quiet and comfortable brunch break. Location: Calçada de São Francisco 35, 1200-201 Lisboa
Zenith
Zenith is one of the most visited brunch places around the city due to its excellent dishes and service with adequate gluten-free options. The food is delicious, ranging from pancakes, smoothie bowls, to scrambled eggs and tapiocas. Zenith has excellent reviews from thousands of individuals who appreciate the quick wait time, friendly staff, and flavorful taste. I would recommend Zenith as a great brunch option for vegans and non-vegans. I personally really enjoyed their benedict eggs and chicken toast with cheddar cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. The restaurant is lovely, and the menu is fantastic with a variety of admirable selections.
